Mike Vela RE: Bedside Scanning in Psych

For hospitals that have implemented scanning - Just wondering how you are
handling bedside scanning on your psych units. We are trying to find a
reasonable solution for the nurse allowing for scanning in the psych units
without worrying about the scanners and mobile computers becoming weapons.

Much of our medication administration involves the patient coming to the
nursing unit for their medication. However we do have patients in seclusion
or other situations where the patient cannot come to the nursing unit.

Any suggestions?
