Med Administration in Patient Room

When the attending nurse retrieves a specific patient's medications from an autodispensing machine which uses the facilities approved two patient identifiers then goes to the patient's room for the administration, what must be taken into the room and compared with the patient's armband or patient directly for verification? The Critical Access Hospital where I am now employed does not have mobile computers to displaythe online patient MAR.

It is my understanding that hospitals have been cited for not taking a hardcopy MAR to the bedside for verification prior to administration. What has been your experience under JCAHO survey?

Thank you,
