Kevin Patton RE: BMV/eMAR with Magic 5.61

In our burn center it is not uncommon to have an IVF running at 1500 mls an
hour for dialysis replacement solutions. Our current policy is to have
nursing scan each bag at bag change. With fluids running at these rates it
is common for nursing to hang 3 bags at a time. We use rx# specific
barcodes for these solutions and thus it requires 3 complete documentations
each time they change bags (1 for each bag every 2 hours). Does anyone have
any ideas to make this process easier on our nursing staff other than the
obvious of entering 3 separate entries into meditech for the nurses to scan
against.

Thanks for any suggestions!
