Insulin Doses & Crushed Meds

Are you presently scanning at bedside? How are you handling insulin doses? What are you doing for crushed meds? These are becoming a big problem for me. We started scanning this past Tuesday and these are issues that we didn't think about. Insulin needing the second check fine scanning at bedside but where do you get the second check? Crush meds at bedside!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think so. Nurses refuse to crush at bedside because of noise, finding the crusher, and the crusher going from room to room infection reason. Can you give me some insight on what you are doing?
