Documenting Missing Doses

For facilities that are using BMV, how do you handle the occurances where a user from a previous shift does not document on a medication? The next shift's nurse comes on, and sees the missed documentation at the top of the eMAR, with the previous shift's administration time showing (thereby NOT showing the time due for his/her shift).
For example, our BID times are 1000 and 2200. If the 2200 dose is not documented on, THAT time hangs out at the top of the eMAR, but the day shift nurse needs to see that it also is due at 1000, and would not really know that unless s/he looks at the SIG.
