Charge on Dispense vs Charge on Administration
I reviewed previous listserve discussion on this topic the year or two and
wanted to ask again since I imagine many of you have been challenged with
the conversion from traditional charge on dispense (COD) to charge on
administration (COA).
I understand the nature of attempting to bill accurately and dealing with
outside auditors who will reinforce this behavior and doing what is right,
but wanted to know if anyone would be willing to share their gross revenue
change if you have converted from COD to COA. Previous listserve strings
have not provided much quantitatively.
This is a current debate in our health system and I am trying to learn from
those who have gone before.
