Barcoding Medications with Outer Packaging

I am looking for feedback from other facilities who are barcoding
medications.

We are struggling with items that have outer packaging.
We use Talyst as a vendor for our barcodes for items like inhalers. We
add a circle label to the outside of the box and ask the nurse to place
the label on the inhaler once the tamper seal on the box has been
broken. We are finding that this does not happen consistently.

How are other institutions barcode labeling multi-use products that
have an overwrap or outer package?
