Aztec Bar Code Scanning

"Hi,
what is the industry trend that you are seeing with Aztec bar codes on medications? We're trying to finalize a purchase of scanners and have a robot so most medications will be 1D (either in the robot, carousel or IV labels) but we've need 2D for other manually picked items and want to
ensure we don't make a purchase decision we regret.
